The Maze Runner Trilogy

James Dashner is a genius. You can prove this by reading The 13th Reality, and his book The Maze Runner definitely backs it up. In the Maze Runner by James Dashner, Thomas wakes up in a strange place- called the Glade- where teenage boys live together in their own community. Thomas has no memory of his past except his name, he doesn't even know his own age or his parents; unknowing like the rest of the boys there. There are four exits from the Glade which lead to the Maze- a Maze that may be their only way out. But it isn't as simple as figuring out the Maze- the walls move, and strange monsters called the Grievers reside there. And the doors to the Maze close every night. If you stay in the Maze over night, you are never seen again. Then, the day after Thomas, the first girl ever arrives in the Glade- bringing them a message and saying everything is about to change before she falls into a strange coma. Soon, Thomas is plunged into a mystery of Grievers, lost memories, and a changing maze, where surprises wait around every turn in Thomas' new life, and he suddenly gets an odd feeling that he was meant to a Maze Runner, one of the kids that runs through the Maze, trying to find a solution, each day. This book is captivating and full of great surprises at the end, though, not to give anything away, the author doesn't write the scenes when someone dies good enough to make you feel sad that they are gone. However, I would recommend this book to any fan of great mysterious, spooky, science fiction adventures. Warning: this book will grab you, won't let you go, and leave you practically crying for the next book!
