Chang Hon Taekwon-Do Hae Sul

Stuart Paul Anslow writes Chang Hon Taekwon-Do Hae Sul, a book for ITF Taekwon-Do practitioners that examines the ITF Taekwon-Do patterns. It goes from Four Direction Punch/Saju Jirugi to Toi-Gye, and the book will provide applications to the patterns and full pattern meanings. The applications are mostly the 'hidden applications' that Stuart Paul Anslow discovered himself, and I do not agree with all of them, as I think that Taekwon-Do should stay the way that General Choi Hong-Hi intended it to stay, but the pattern meanings are well worth the read. You may know the meanings of the patterns, but you might not know the whole story. The stories about the pattern meanings are enjoyable to read and they will help you remember the meanings of each pattern. Dan-Gun is named after the holy Dan-Gun, but reading this book will let you know just who the legendary founder of Korea was, and more. The book is also full of extra information, to be found in the back and front, that are also good to read. This book is a good addition to the Taekwon-Doin's library, even if there are some things that you may not agree with, such as certain applications and the fact that Mr. Anslow believes that General Choi Hong-Hi did not know what EVERY technique's purpose was, which I think is just nonsence. However, even if you just want this book for the pattern meanings, you should still consider reading this book or at least skimming through it.
